Summer 1960: So much to do on the weekend following the 4th of July holiday!
First up was the annual St. Paul's Summer Festival, located at East 200th street and Chardon road. Carnival rides, fireworks, dancing, a $5000 cash prize, a 17" portable television giveaway and more. St. Paul's church was also celebrating it's 100th anniversary.
Next up and taking place a bit later on July 20, 1960, is the Gay Nineties Picnic at Euclid Beach park. Rides, games, racing; dancing in the ballroom, and an opportunity to win a compact car of your choice including a Falcon, Corvair, Lark, or Jeep station wagon!
