Cleveland/Akron Sisters Chicken Then and Now

Here's an updated look at the Sisters Chicken & Biscuit locations all around Cleveland and the Akron area.

15021 Euclid Avenue, East Cleveland

The first Sisters Chicken in Northern Ohio. Today, it is home to Northeast Ohio Neighborhood Health Services, Inc. (NEON). Original building stands.

4645 Northfield R d., North Randall

Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen. Original building stands.

1549 E. 55th, Cleveland

Still a Burger King, but the original Sisters Building, pictured, was torn down and BK was rebuilt. See it today.

 12910 Buckeye Rd., Cleveland

Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen. Original building stands.

845 Park Avenue West, Mansfield

Was used as a Wendy's. Closed, demolished, and the lot is vacant today. See it today.

26030 Euclid Avenue, Euclid

Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen. Original building stands. Read more about this location, including what other businesses occupied it, and the history of Sisters Chicken & Biscuits here.

6330 Brookpark Rd., Cleveland

Wendy's. This really seems like it was a Sisters Chicken and Biscuits. Original building stands.

4037 Mayfield Rd., South Euclid

Wendy's. I'm saying another survivor. Original building stands.

7815 Carnegie, Cleveland

Angie's Soul Cafe! Look at that, barely changed from Sister's Chicken. Original building stands.

7763 Mentor Ave., Mentor

Knocked down. Was a Boston Market for a while. Still a Taco Bell today.

987 N. Court, Medina

 Another Wendy's, another demolish.

396 E. Market St., Akron

This one was tough, because it's really been done over a couple times, but after checking the aerials, I can say this is a Sister's. Original building stands.

25730 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted

Demolished between 2009 and 2011. Today it's a car dealership. Anyone know what this was?

1332 West 117th St., Lakewood

Another barely transformed Sister's Chicken is a Lakewood staple, Dianna's Restaurant and Deli. A fire in 2025 closed down the business and as of early 2026, they have not reopened.

3031 Cleveland Ave., Canton

Still a Taco bell
, but the original building was torn down. The photo below is from Mike Schario, and it shows this location as a Sisters Chicken in the 1980s.

 1467 South Arlington, Akron

So many Wendy's, so many Taco Bell. Shown, the Sisters building before it was razed. See it today.

 940 N. Leavitt Rd., Amherst

Exactly like the Akron location, a Taco Bell lived in the old Sisters Chicken and Biscuits for years before being demolished and rebuilt.

 221 W. 5th Street, Lorain

Demolished ages ago. Now Social Security office.

6380 York Rd., Parma Heights

Luna's Deli & Restaurant is another classic Sisters Chicken and Biscuits that has barely been touched.  Original building stands.

2400 Lincoln Way East, Massillon

It's a little hard to tell, but this is also still an old Sisters Chicken building. Original building stands.
