Long Gone: 22281 Lakeshore Blvd. Epicure Boegam

An establishment called Epicure Boegam was located at 22281 Lakeshore Blvd. starting in the early 1930s. On March 13, 1930, articles of incorporation were signed creating Epicure Boegam, Inc. 

In 2026, this area is grass surrounded by a CVS, Walgreens, and the Euclid wastewater treatment plant.

1934 Euclid High School Yearbook

 Epicure Barbecue advertised as early as 1934 in The Log - Euclid Shore High School's yearbook.

1937 Epicure Boegam Ad

An advertisement run in a local paper in 1937 mentions Dining and dancing at Epicure Boegam, being located at 22281 Lake Shore Blvd. at Euclid Park.

Epicure Boegam's phone number was Ke (Kenmore) 4425. 

Information on this place is sparse. I did find a death notice of the one-time proprietor, Fred A. Gammerdinger, from April 1952. Fred's obituary states that he sold Epicure Boegam ten years earlier, so the sale in September 1940 makes sense. Fred was born in Romania and is buried in Whitehaven Memorial Park in Mayfield, Ohio. 

 Right next door was Smith's resturant/Alexander's restaurant.
