Sidewalk Cafe Euclid Closes; Sold to Pennsylvania Marijuana Farm

You may have noticed that Sidewalk Cafe on Euclid avenue has closed. If you're curious about the history of the building, have I got some links for you!

See Part I: 1964 - 1968 Happy Charlie's
See Part II: 1968 - 1971 Roy Rogers
See Part III: 1971 - 1973 Love's Restaurants
See Part IV: 1973 - 1982 Famous Recipe Chicken
See Part V: 1982 - 1989 Mr. Chicken

Anyway, the owner of over 25 years has sold the building to Good River Wellness, LLC. The signatory was Peter Bio, CEO of Standard Farms. That means it should soon be a medical marijuana dispensary!

I made this. This is not what the sign looks like.

Good River Wellness was awarded a provisional license for a medical marijuana dispensary at 27101 Euclid avenue in May 2022, and they purchased the building a month later. While the building was valued by Cuyahoga county at under $120,000 in 2021, the purchase price was $424,000.

This will be the first time the building has been used for something other than a restaurant setting.
