Someone in my Euclid '50s, '60s, '70s, '80s Euclid Memories group asked what the restaurant at 321 Babbitt Road was called in the 1980s. I was curious, so here we go.
1975 - 1982 Rustler Steak House
Built to be a Rustler steak house, 321 Babbitt opened it's doors in the Spring of 1975. Rustler at the time had many locations, including 19500 Rockside Road in Bedford, and 323 Midway Boulevard in Elyria.

1982 - 1988 Sands II & Sassy Gertie's
Shortly after Rustler steak house in Euclid closed, Sands II moved in.

Arlene Durastani, Chef Dominic, Elsie and Chuck Jacobs welcomed you to Sands II in this 1982 ad.

December 1987 - A plain type of ad showcasing upcoming performers include Bruno Bros., Goodfoot, Motion, Ten Speed, Crowd Pleasers. A plain white line of text reads, "Under new management. Soon to be Sassy Gerties".
This Sassy Gertie's ad was published in January 1988 in Scene magazine. Gertie's West was on Babbitt, and a sister location was at 7123 Mentor Avenue in near the Willoughby/Mentor border. Today it is Bumper's Bar and Grill.
December 1987 until May 6, 1988. That was all Sassy Gertie's had in her, because Al Saluan of Sands II was back and Sandy Patterson and Margaret Schneider were out.
1988 - 1991 Fabulous Club Sands
Fabulous Club Sands stayed opened for approximately three more years. The week of March 1, 1991's musical acts were Bruno Bros. A record collectors show took place on Saturday. A jazz jam night happened Sunday. Monday was men's night out with a female revue.
1992 Purple Panther
October 2, 1992 was the grand opening of the Purple Panther, now home at 321 Babbitt Road.
Purple Panther never celebrated a third anniversary, going up for auction in February of 1994.

The last mention of Gatorz is from July 16, 1995.
1996 - 1997 Pyramid Lounge & Restaurant
By summer 1996, the Pyramid Lounge and Restaurant was serving food and music at 321 Babbitt road.
Pyramid Lounge eventually lost it's liquor license due to neighbors being unhappy about the noise and general fuckery coming out of the place. Pyramid closed it's doors in late 1997.1998 Rock Hard Cafe And Blind Willy's
In early 1998, 321 Babbitt reopened as Rock Hard cafe. People seemed a little on edge as nobody was excited for more drunken shenanigans.
However, the city of Euclid really did back Rock Hard Cafe, whose owner was a young man and a Euclid High School graduate by the name of Todd Trevarthen.

I'm not sure why the only time Blind Willy's came up in old newspaper searches was when underage drinking and titties and ass were involved but nevertheless.
A crime free Euclid is making everybody cheer in February of 1999.2001 - 2003 Brogan's Pub & Eatery
Advertising starts up again for 321 Babbitt in 2001. January 6, 2001, Brogan's Pub & Eatery opened it's doors to hungry diners.

The menu items mentioned sounded pretty decent, and Brogan's Pub stayed open in Euclid until 2003 or 2004.
2004 - 2013 Caribbean Flavor
Tied with Sands II and Sassy Gerties as the longest run at this business in Caribbean Flavor, with nine years. Caribbean Flavor opened in either late 2003 or early 2004.
This is a place I also wish I had been able to try, as the food and drinks both sounded awfully appealing.
Caribbean Flavor closed it's doors on May 20, 2013.
2025: Vacant.
