26010 Euclid Ave - Pizza Hut, Asian Express, Vibez Lounge

26010 Euclid Avenue was trees until the very early 1980s. In 1983, after the building of Arby's and Taco Bell to the west, Pizza Hut was built there. The building was a traditional red roofed structure, which today is still very recognizable.

Euclid Pizza Hut featured dine in and carryout options. This Euclid avenue Pizza Hut location closed before I first photographed it in late 2006.

The Pizza Hut at 20610 Euclid Avenue sat vacant for just about a decade after those photos were taken.

In May 2016, a remodeled Asian Express opened it's doors. They were also dine in and carry out. They dramatically changed the look of the building, opting to panel over the brick and paint the red roof brown.

Check out photos of the inside of the Pizza Hut rebranded Asian Express here.

Asian Express lasted maybe 4 years. Next came Vibez Hookah sometime in late 2020 or early 2021. It hasn't seen much action since probably 2022. They also changed up the appearance and kept the patio added by Asian Express. Stone facade replaced the paneling and the signature roof was painted dark gray, along with the window trim.

So there you have the life and tenants of 26010 Euclid Avenue as it stood from 1983 up until earlier this week, the second week of December 2024.

This was early afternoon on December 10, 2024:

This is the current status as of December 11, 2024:

The former 26010 Euclid Avenue's parcel number was 648-51-006.

With a smidge of digging I found what appears to be the plan behind the demolition of Pizza Hut/Asian Express/Vibez Hookah Lounge, and it is... drum roll? Dunkin' and Jimmy Johns.

The combination building will be primarily Dunkin' (and primarily drive thru). The new building will be longer on both ends but it seems other than that, the parking and other details will remain largely unchanged. See the rest of the Euclid Dunkin Jimmy John's P&Z Application here.

Sidebar: Do you know how hard it is to not go rooting around in the giant debris pile in the hopes that I'd find that Pizza Hut door handle?
